YOUTH WORKER VACANCY – ILFRACOMBE
One Ilfracombe Youth Club has an exciting opportunity to expand its staff team and take on a paid part-time youth worker!
We are looking for a community-minded individual with prior experience of youth work, or transferable experience with young people, to join our team as a paid member of staff. The successful candidate will support our Lead Youth Worker in planning, delivering and evaluating sessions in the centre and on outreach. They will benefit from high-quality training and mentorship, to support building a career as a youth practitioner, and will be part of an extremely welcoming and passionate team. The role is suitable for someone who is comfortable working with young people and is looking for a challenge to take on more ownership of the youth club space.
Ilfracombe Youth Club is an emerging young people’s organisation in Ilfracombe, designed to plug the gap in provision that we see in our town and provide quality, unconditional youth work. We run youth club sessions in community centres and deliver outreach work on the streets. We are supported by a team of passionate volunteers, local stakeholders, Ilfracombe Town Council, and the young people themselves. Ilfracombe Youth Club was set up with the intention of creating a long-term, consistent youth work space that will be there for young people for many years to come.
